Friends of the Woods was created in the Fall of 2006. In October 2006, University Woods participed in "It's My Park Day!" for the first time ever. We are a group of concerned residents from the University Heights community committed to shifting the current physical conditions and negative community perceptions of University Woods through programming,advocacy and education. Through our efforts, University Woods will become a place for people to escape the urban life of New York City in their own backyard.
ITS MY PARK DAY! OCTOBER 20, 2007
Join Friends of the Woods Saturday October 20,2007 from 10am-3pm as we work to turn NYC's worst park, University Woods, into our local natural escape. We will paint, plants trees, drop grass seeds and much more. Refreshments will be served and it will be a ton of fun.
Come enjoy music and good conversation while making a major impact.
This is our last event of the year; don't miss it! Refreshments will be served.
